"I do confess it and repent it, father"

I can't wait til I get through this Shakespeare class.

I worked today and was given my first assignment for reporting. I'm very excited. Its just a feature story, but I think it is a good start. I went to my parents this afternoon and ended up talking to my dad for about an hour. That doesn't happen very often, hardly ever in fact. It was very strange.

Our neighbors haven't been shitty the past few days, its been nice having peace and quiet for once. I'm also giving up on the fact that we can move. People charge too much for house rentals. Like i can pay them 1000 a month! Crazy people!

I'm tired and don't want to write up Letters to the Editor for work. I don't have time to do it tomorrow so I had to take it home with me. bleh.

Wesley turns 4

It's Wesley's birthday today. He doesn't seem to care however, he just thinks its an average day. He slept a lot and then had a snack then went back to sleeping. It's got to be great to have a dogs life.

I'm trying to do homework, but I keep getting distracted by other things, internet and DJ being one of them. Some crazy girl on myspace messaged me and we are entertaining ourselves with that.

I don't want to take any summer school this semester, but I have the feeling that I'll end up caving and taking more than I can chew like I did last semester. Bleh ::shoots self::

homework is t3h sux

I've been doing CalcIII for 2days straight now... I'm looking over at a box of .40 wondering how yummy that would taste right about now. BUT, since I already feel like I have a bullet rattling around in my brain another probably wouldn't help. I digress.. and post on u145 (even though its only slightly more entertaining than homework is.)

Like I said, its been a rather boring weekend of homework. My sisters are in town and I haven't even gotten a call from them. How nice of everyone- maybe they are planning a surprise party for me... or maybe they're off spending my parents hard earned money on a new pair of shoes. I'm gonna go with the ladder on this one. It hasn't been a total failure of a weekend though- some fun was accomplished.

Amy, one of Stephanie's friends dropped by last night. I don't know her well, but she is definitely a character. Needless to say, after drudging through hours of homework she was a welcome break to the madness.

Along the lines of madness- I spent Thursday night procrastinating.. er.. hanging out with Tex. We made a trade up of computer parts. For my exchange of a touchscreen LCD I received an upgrade laptop for the truck. (Just when I thought that project was finished, here I go again.) I spent the better half of Friday afternoon ripping it apart to reroute its power button. Its long, its complicated and no one will care- however, pin10 on the header (plastic chingus surrounded by other electronic stuff you don't care to know the name of.) is where the magic happens (pic2).

Hrm.. yea. I should get back to the homework nonsense. However I did come across a practical homework problem. Normally I'm busy rewording one of those pesky "Toss a rock up into the air...." problems into "A goat is tossed up in the air and falls into a hole 10m down- and incidentally there is a crib death baby inside. If the baby is 10cm and buffers the instantaneous velocity to -12m/s what is the acceleration of the goat just before fully crushing the dead baby." BUT this time I didn't need to.. So I thought I'd share (feel free to punch out at anytime.. Trust me, I know Goose is dead and you're parachuting into the pacific, Maverick.)

Q14.9:
In a simple electric circuit, Ohm's law states that V=IR. Where V is voltage in volts, I is the current in ampers, and R is the resistance in ohms. Assume that, as the battery wears out, the voltage decreases at .04volts per second, and as the resistors heats up, the resistance is increasing at .01 ohms per second. When the resistance is 100 ohms and the current is .01 ampers, at what rate is the current changing?

--See, something useful.. And just in case someone is dying to know the answer, I've spelled it out for you:

V=IR = I=V/R

V= -.04s = dV/dt= -.04 volts
R= .01s = dR/dt= .01 ohms

dI/dV = 1/R
dI/dR = -V/R^2

dI/dt = dV/dt*dI/dV + dR/dt*dI/dR

(1/R)*(-.04) + (-V/R^2)*(.01) = dI/dt
substitute in I*R for V - solving for R@100ohms, I@.01ampers:

(1/100)(-.04)+(-100*.01/100^2)(.01)= -4.01E-4=dI/dt

solution: -.000401 ampers per second.

Now, wasn't that a hoot?

don't fuck with dustin

Friends suck right now. It really pisses me off the way they are acting. I really want to tell them how shitty they are being.

Dustin is the shit though and I love him! At least he got to tell them off a little.

An Office marathon is on tonight, that really makes me happy. Too bad Dustin is hanging out with Tex tonight, he'll miss out on all the fun i'm going to be having.

I played all day today. Went to class, target and then played on my computer for the rest of the afternoon.

I'm hungry.

tonight

Dustin is making dinner and it smells so good. I know it's just the onions smimmering, but it still smells like we are having something other than brats at ten at night. We have decided that since we are still officially on Spring Break that we are going to treat it as so and do shit for the rest of the week. We are sleeping in, doing nothing all day and catching up on all of the shows that we haven't been able to watch because of school.

As some of you may know, Dustin downloads tv shows. Well since we've been tv free for the last three weeks and more, we have a million episodes of all the tv we like to watch. I swear we are watching like twenty shows right now. The only show I watch religiously every week is The Office and sometimes I can catch Heroes. We finished up with the latest episode of Heroes today and LOST. We also caught tonights episode surprisingly. I also watched the half-hour episode of American Idol, becuase people don't download that show so Dustin can never get it.

We are behind in the following shows:

The O.C.
Prison Break
24
Jerico
BSG-just me, dustin hates that show
The Unit
HOUSE-one more episode left to watch
Psyche
Dirt

I'm sure there are more and Dustin doesn't want me to list them all so he won't tell me what else we are behind in. He doesn't want all of you knowing how much we waste our time watching television. =) I tried to tell him we are just interested in all there is on tv right now but aparently he doesn't think that is a very good reason.

He has been in to the Dateline 'catch a predator' specials lately. He mentioned to me about six months ago about them from a few years ago and thought the concept was a good idea. Over the 2006 year they have been really popular and now there is one on every other week. He gets really excited when they come on. I find it desturbing on many levels how creepy these guys are. The most creepy thing I think is the people who aren't your typical sex offender. They are police officers and people who you would trust openly. It really hits hard sometimes. There are some really bad people out there in this world and it's scary who those people actually are.

I'm currently reading this really good Nora Roberts book right now. I don't know if any of my friends like reading romance novels, but this one I have really gotten into. It's a trilogy and I'm on the final book of the series. It's the Morrigain Cross trilogy and its about witches, sorcerers and vampires. It's very entertaining. I suggest this book if you want some light reading and something that isn't overwhelming.

Hair Did!

I got my hair did today. It feels so much lighter. Its the perfect color too. I went to someone new today (she was referred by Dustins mom) and I really think i’ll be going back. She is great.

The place that I went to was sort of upscale but I paid about the same as I normally do when I go to other places. People were drinking champagne! It was so weird. I even had an assistant that helped the hair dresser wash and brush out my hair. I’ve never experienced that before.

The rest of the day I worked and did homework while I scanned. Very boring but I was able to get a lot of work done so it was alright. Working on a saturday isn’t my idea of fun, but at least I’m able to do homework while I’m there.

I went to happy hour with a friend of mine last night and got home about 7 and was so exhausted that I went to bed at 8:30! I am so lazy! This week school was really annoying with some tests I had. The only downside to having a professor for more than one class is that he schedules your tests on the same day.

I leave in about 6 days! yay! Spring Breaks almost here. It seems earlier than normal this year…or is it just me?

Oh and how lame would it be to be born on leap day?

Its cold outside

It rained today. I guess it's okay. I'm sick of school already. My first ethics test is tomorrow. I think I'm ready for it. The first test isn't as bad as the last one so I'm sure i'll get an okay grade.

I bought Dustin another toy. I should really stop doing that, I just like how excited he gets when I buy him things that he likes. He said that the plane that I bought him was good, so its good to hear I didn't spend more money on something that he's just going to break in two days. haha

I also got him the first and only season to Lucky Louie. Jimmy Norton was a cast member. The shows not very good, but if you just want to watch something stupid, pick that. Yesterday we finished watching Big Love, a show about polygamy. It actually was very good and for the last few nights Dustin and I have been having polygamy themed dreams. At least his dreams have an advantage-he gets to sleep with more than one woman when I'm just stuck with the one.
